Best Seats for the Byron Nelson: Irving Texas Real Estate

Share News:

The folks at this manse were sure enjoying the Byron Nelson from the comfort of their own home (plus about 300 guests) during this weekend’s famous Byron Nelson Golf Tournament this past weekend.  Yep, that’s a private home, not the club! Trooping around the Four Seasons, I was amazed at the gorgeous real estate to be found in Irving where I’m also told the tax rate is super low: .57 cents for the City of Irving versus .79 cents for Dallas, because, I was told, Irving has so much more commercial development, it helps keep the taxes down. I found this home overlooking the golf course that was listed last year for $1,485,000 and then lowered to

$1, 390,000, sold in December for $1,235,000 after 220 days on the market. $122.87 per square foot. Not too shabby in this market. The home is over 6,000 square feet in the same gated community where the Romos live, and has a second kitchen on the lower level for entertaining just like this during the Byron Nelson. Another plus about living out here, I’m told, besides the lower taxes and proximity to D/FW: you can join the Four Seasons Sports Club and have a world-class sports club and spa practically in your back yard. Actually, yes, right in your back yard.
