Our Vacation Home Week celebration on CandysDirt.com was such an amazing success. We got to feature incredible second homes and developments in some of our favorite locations. Luxury amenities and gorgeous design, each one of these homes has just what you want for a getaway and then some! And boy, let me tell you about location! Let’s run through our fabulous featured second home spots from Vacation Home Week!
“Rockport on Penobscot Bay — How much more Maine can you get than this? The home is a blueberry farm and a stone’s throw from the Atlantic. Listed by Dallas agent Angela Downes, with Virginia Cook. Yes, she lives in Dallas but spent a lot of time in Maine and is one of the best go-getters in town.”
“The thought has struck me lately that maybe it’s a good idea to consider a vacation home in Santa Fe … Of course, it’d have to be close to the plaza, near shopping and restaurants, and have great amenities.Fairmont Heritage Place El Corazon de Santa Fe fits all the criteria in a gorgeous package. Seriously, this fractional second home development has some of the most beautiful units, and you can purchase a 1/8 undivided deeded interest in one of these gorgeous condos.”
“Staying true to Vacation Home Week, we had to find a phenomenal property that would make a great spot to run to should you get the itch to get out of town. And of course, we love Boot Ranch, a gorgeous community in the Texas Hill Country with golf, scenery, and luxury accommodations.
‘Here you’ll find a delicious tension between rural and refined,’ writes Jeannie Ralston for The New York Times. ‘With the vineyards and boutique farms (lavender, olives), some people make comparisons to Napa Valley or even Provence (France). But those assessments ignore something fundamental: The Hill Country – being Texas at its finest – is like nowhere else in the world.'”
“Cedar Creek Lake is a popular go-to location for North Texans who need a little time by the water. It’s a perfect spot to while away a three-day weekend, take the boat out, maybe paddleboard a little. For us, you can’t do much better than Long Cove, a fantastic community of gorgeous luxury properties that make lakefront living a breeze.
‘Long Cove was made with family in mind. Beyond the homes and amenities, the heart of our community is focused on reconnecting with those closest to you. Forge meaningful conversations and create lasting memories without any distractions,’ said sales director Josh Ellis. ‘We wanted a place where you can escape close to home and build relationships with new families like yours. We’ve created a haven where you can be a kid with your kids and let the family feel safe to run free, as you once did.'”
“You know you want a home by the beach in time for Thanksgiving vacation. Activities: kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, shops and restaurants, plus the Watercolor Beach Club which has two pools. Or my personal favorite — just lay out at the beach, with the ocean in the background. This elegant home has much sophistication, but it was designed to be a true family compound. Built in 2007, the home has 4433 square feet and four bedrooms, four full baths and two half to house everyone plus the kitchen sink. Most beach homes in this neck of the woods have twin beds in as many room as possible to fit in more sleepers. There are four full baths, and two half powder rooms, which also helps with lots of guests.
Thanks so much for tuning in for Vacation Home Week, and we hope it’s motivated you to find the second home of your dreams!
