Winter’s Coming: Take Advantage of New DFW Flights to Hawaii

Today, September 22, marks the first day of fall. Do you have your winter vacation plans in place? If booking a flight from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport to Hawaii is on your to-do list, there’s good news: recent additions to American Airlines’ roster of flights from DFW to Hawaii.

This summer, American Airlines added daily flights from DFW to Kona International Airport (KOA) on the Kona Coast of The Big Island of Hawaii. Known for miles of coastline, lava fields, and dramatic landscapes, the Kona Coast is major luxury resort/real estate hub, with vacation home communities such as Kohanaiki, the luxury property featuring interior design by Brigid Coulter we posted about earlier this year, Kūkiʻo Golf and Beach Club, a private, residential equity club located adjacent to the Four Seasons Hotel, and Hualālai, a Four Seasons-related resort and residential development.

There are also new non-stop DFW flights to Lihue Airport on the lesser known island of Kaua’i or a limited time, December 2017-April 2018. Kukui’ula, and Hōkūala are among the luxury resort and residential communities gracing its beautiful shores. National Geographic Travel recently named this island on its “Best of the World” list of 21 destinations in 2017. It’s a hiker’s paradise and the island’s natural beauty has been the setting for more than 60 movies. Examples: South Pacific, Blue Hawaii, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Remember that gorgeous waterfall at the start of the show Fantasy Island? Yup, that was Kaua’i.

And, yup, it’s a long way away. Business class tickets on American’s Boeing 767-300 aircraft feature fully lie-flat seats with dual tray tables and a work surface, individual Samsung Galaxy™ tablets to keep you entertained, Bose® noise-cancelling headphones, and power outlets and USB ports at every seat to make the best of the flight.
