As Fires Devastate Northern California, Dallas Vinters Offer Hope

Share News:

With wildfires completely ravaging the Northern California countryside, many wineries and vineyards have been affected. Dallas-based Craig and Kathryn Hall, vinters of award-winning HALL wines, made a statement about the tragic disaster:

We write to you from the wine country with mixed emotions. We are grieving for those who have lost lives, homes, and businesses. We are grateful that while some of our team have lost their homes, none of them have suffered personal injury or loss of life. As we write we look out on a Valley full of smoke filled haze and know that local neighborhoods have been destroyed.

To this point, our Sonoma, St. Helena and Rutherford properties remain undamaged by the fires. We are working to assess the status of each of our vineyards and those owned by partner growers. Unfortunately, many of these vineyards remain inaccessible due to road closures. As the fire is still burning, the status continues to change and we are learning more by the hour.

We have seen an outpouring of support from our Members and Partners via email, phone and social media. We thank you. Many of you want to help. We have partnered with Redwood Credit Union to contribute to their Northbay Fire Relief Fund a 501(c)(3). We will ensure that 100% of the money raised goes to help those in greatest need. We will match your gift dollar for dollar up to $100,000.

Also, we are donating available rooms at SENZA hotel for anyone who has lost their home in this disaster. Please let us know of anyone we could help in this way.

Thank you again for your concern and generosity.

Sincere Regards,
Kathryn, Craig, Mike, Jeff & HALL and WALT Wines
