Texas Wine Revolution| candysdirt.comHankering for an excuse for a bluebonnet-studded road trip to the Hill Country? Horseshoe Bay Resort will be the setting of the third annual Texas Wine Revolution, a festival showcasing the beauty of Texas-grown wines and this year, specifically 100 percent Texas grown rosé wines.

Winemakers from William Chris, Becker Vineyards, Brennan Vineyards, Kierpersol, McPherson Cellars, and more than 20 other Texas wineries will be on hand from 1 to 5 p.m. April 22 offering rosé tastings, live music, local foods, educational seminars, interactive activities, and a silent auction at Horseshoe Bay Resort. Just three and half hours from Dallas, the AAA four star-rated lake and golf resort and residential community on Lake LBJ offers stellar tennis and spa facilities as well as three Robert Trent Jones Sr. golf courses.

Through the Texas Wine Revolution website, you can buy tickets to the wine festival and make reservations for an overnight stay at the Horseshoe Bay Resort. (Needless to say, a wise choice after an afternoon of imbibing unless you have a designated driver.)
