Spectacular Mountain Modern At Alpine Mountain Ranch And Club Hits Market

A new home at Alpine Mountain Ranch and Club, located adjacent to Steamboat Ski Resort and Catamount golf club in Steamboat Springs, is up for grabs and you won’t believe the VIEWS! The five-acre property beautifully integrates indoor-outdoor living with multiple decks, patios, and generous floor-to-ceiling windows framing unbelievable mountain vistas.

Aptly named Moonlight Run and built by esteemed local architect Rick Hodges, the lower level walkout home offers five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and 5,700 square feet complete with a three-car garage for storing all your toys. The best part?It was just listed by the Paoli Group of Colorado Group Realty with price tag of $4.495 million, putting you an offer away from move-in-ready, Alpine Mountain paradise.

“The Steamboat market is evolving to a more complete experience,” says listing agent, Chris Paoli. “From the restaurant experience to the more finished streetscapes downtown, we are appealing to a more affluent demographic. These buyers own more on-trend homes in their primary markets and prefer a similar experience here in the mountains. The modern style of Moonlight Run allows the home’s focus to be on its natural surroundings with large walls of windows bringing the exterior in, while the clean lines and softer interior surfaces are ideal for showcasing art.”

And it’s the home’s design that is turning heads.

“There are some very specific, noteworthy architectural elements that make the home truly unique,” said Jamie Curcio, Construction Manager at Alpine Mountain Ranch and Club. “This includes 16-foot-wide sliding glass doors off the great room, a fully custom multi-tier kitchen light fixture (for dramatic effect), and a 28-foot-tall metal-wrapped fireplace surround.”

The ranch also tapped interior designer, Leslie Dapper of RUMOR DESIGN + redesign, to bring their fresh “mountain modern” vision to life. The result is nothing short of extraordinary. Here are a few of the highlights.

Main-Level Living Never Looked So Good!

The open floor plan includes main-level living and dining, met by a gourmet chef’s kitchen accented by a two-sided glass fireplace and 30-foot vaulted ceiling with floor-to-ceiling windows offering jaw-dropping views over the treetops to the neighboring Steamboat Ski Resort.

“I think the simplicity of the use of materials and the mixing and matching of rustic and sleek is the big difference,” says Dapper. “The wood floors are a lighter color than what would have been used in the mountains in the past. We did drywall returns on all the windows, even though the windows are black, there is no heavy dark trim around them. The windows also go floor to ceiling to capture the view.”

Culinary Chef’s Kitchen To Serve A Crowd

A unique, three-sided kitchen island features contemporary cabinetry by Fedewa Custom Works, Caesarstone countertops, Wolf/SubZero appliances. A custom, multi-tiered light fixture offers an excellent solution to a central work space without pass-through traffic. The generous, covered deck with walls of glass that swing open, truly brings the outdoors in.

“The kitchen cabinets are all slab front with touch latch pulls to keep the look sleek and seamless,” Dapper said. “We mixed a high gloss finish on the island with a wood finish on the perimeter. The overhead light fixture in the kitchen was custom designed and locally fabricated, and the finish matches the high gloss sheen on the cabinetry.”

Luxurious Spa-Like Master

Also on the main level, with nice separation from the great room by the two-story entry, is a generous master suite with office, spa-like bath, and private deck.

“The master bathroom is very elegant with a touch of rustic,” adds Dapper. “The tile is a gorgeous faux marble, (no maintenance) paired with a more rustic wood-look tile for the ‘mountain modern’ feel. We kept the lighting very minimal with lighted vanity mirrors. An inset LED light strip in the drywall on one wall that continues on to the ceiling is new technology that is very modern.”

Effortless Indoor-Outdoor Entertaining

The walk-out lower level is accessed from the main entry by a custom stairway with steel accents and features a guest master suite, two en suite bedrooms, en suite bunk room, family room with fireplace, rec room, wet bar, and walk-out patio.

Majestic Mountain And Forest Views

The gently sloping site rests against a lush evergreen and pine forest with exceptional views of the South Valley, Flat Tops, and Emerald Mountain. In addition to this completed home and several others under construction, Alpine Mountain Ranch & Club is offering 36, five-acre homesites priced from $1.5 million.
