Thanks to strong demand for luxury homes and the popularity of Airbnb and VRBO, Turks and Caicos is becoming quite the demand destination for second-home purchasers who want a safe bet for a relaxing break, Ellen Paris writes in Forbes.

We found The Rock House, which will break ground this month, intriguing, with its homes built into the Providenciales cliffside that range from $600,000 to $1.6 million, and resort amenities that include a 100-foot infinity pool, restaurant, and private beach.

Looking for Luxe, Part Two: Try the Hamptons

Housing stock of luxury homes is rising at a rapid clip in the tony Hamptons, where federal tax changes that cap deductions for mortgage interest reduced interest in spendy price homes, experts said.

Bloomberg reports that 869 luxury properties were available at the end of 1Q 2019, almost triple from a year ago and the most in seven years of data-keeping. The 297 homes that did sell that quarter was the lowest 1Q in seven years.

“La La Land House” Up for Grabs

The contemporary glass-covered home in LA’s Encino that was featured in the Oscar-winning “La La Land” went on the market this week, Mansion Global reported.

The gorgeous six-bedroom home (which has also appeared on “NCIS LA” and “Modern Family”) is listed for $6.45 million. Clocking in at about 8,500 square feet, the Compass agents handling the listing say it’s never actually been lived in — and has only served as the setting for various productions.

The home boasts walls of glass, a home theater, an elevator, a chef’s kitchen kitted out with marble, roof decks, and tons of city views It also has an infinity pool and guest house.

Napa Valley Estate Is Realtor’s Most Expensive Listing of the Week

If vino is your thing, and luxury is also your thing, the most expensive new listing on Realtor.com may also well, be your thing.

The Tuscan-style estate sits on 19 acres with views of vineyards and mountains. It’s also listed for $26.5 million, Realtor.com said.

“The expansive compound comes with a main villa, guesthouse, caretaker’s house, and two barns. Also on the property are 6.5 acres of vineyards, Italian-style gardens, fruit trees, and an award-winning olive orchard,” the site explains.
