Brentwood Big Love For Lindsey Buckingham’s House

Share News:

buckinghamNo word on where Fleetwood Mac rocker Lindsey Buckingham is heading to next, but he and his wife have turned into quite the real estate investors — and their latest home, a true celebrity compound in Brentwood, California, is now up for grabs. reports that Buckingham and his interior designer wife Kristen bought a 1.2-acre double lot for $6.6 million in 2004, and have listed the custom home they built and decorated for $29.5 million. Several years ago, the two bought a $5.8 million lot and built a spec home, and eventually sold it for $19 million.

This latest listing is very private, sitting behind double gates and tons of lush landscaping. Inside, the main home is full of Old-World, European touches, without feeling stuffy.

“Walls of French doors and windows throughout allow the light-filled environment to integrate with the beautiful lush exterior with the abundant patios and lush gardens that encircle the property,” said listing agent Jade Mills with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage – Beverly Hills South. “Step into the intriguing formal foyer with wood-burning fireplace and distinctive two-story stairwell tower with spiral staircase.”

The main level of the home has grand formals — and both the living and dining rooms have fireplaces. The family room is full of wood-paneling, built-ins, and a fireplace, and a billiard room, farmhouse-style kitchen, and breakfast room also are on the first floor.

The master suite is private and spacious, located in its own wing on the first floor, with a private entrance, sitting room, fireplace, gorgeous en-suite, walk-in closets, and a dressing room.

“The second level features four family bedroom suites and fabulous office with loft,” Mills said.

Outside, the grounds have plenty of entertaining space, with covered and open patios, outdoor fireplace, a pool, and a tennis court. Off the tennis court is a gym, as well as a three-car garage and guesthouse above the garage. The garage also houses a special treat — a recording studio fit for, well, a rock legend.
