Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco Lists Beverly Grove Showplace
Share News:
Actor and comedian Sebastian Maniscalco and his wife, artist Lana Gomez, are listing their Mediterranean estate in Beverly Grove for $4.5 million. You might recognize Maniscalco from his string of sold-out arena and theatre shows or the Netflix hit, Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee. He’s also starring alongside De Niro, Pacino, and Pesci in The Irishman, coming soon to a theatre near you.
The Gem Of Beverly Grove
Maniscalco is the man Jerry Seinfeld calls “my favorite comedian.” And according to his bio, “was one of Pollstar’s top 30 highest-grossing performers in the world, and was nominated for that publication’s Comedy Tour of the Year award. He sold out five shows at Radio City Music Hall, and the latest in Maniscalco’s five television comedy specials (for Netflix, Showtime, and Comedy Central) scaled new ratings heights, prompting NBC Nightly News to describe him as comedy’s new superstar.”
Impressive Kelly Wearstler-Designed Interiors
Tucked behind private gates in the heart of coveted Beverly Grove, rests the Maniscalco retreat. And to our delight, it’s as colorful as the comedian himself, with custom interiors by renowned interior designer, Kelly Wearstler!
A Study Of Scale And Volume
The four-bedroom, four-full-and-one-half-bathroom home is a study of scale and volume. Plus, it affords a one-of-a-kind color palette that is a feast for the senses. So much so, it was featured in Architectural Digest. They called the project, “a color-soaked L.A. pad for a free-spirited young family.”
Color And Whimsy Galore
And AD is right! Every inch of the home offers a heavy dose of color and whimsy. In fact, Maniscalco’s wife Gomez was a resident painter for and collaborator of Kelly Wearstler’s when she first moved to Los Angeles in 2007. A winning combination if you ask us!
Inspired By Gomez’s Colorful Artwork
According to reps for the listing, “Wearstler’s artful creation was inspired by Gomez’s colourful artwork that is featured throughout the residence.” As they say, the rest is history.
Chock Full Of Custom Furniture
And design buffs will appreciate this fun fact. The home is chock full of custom furniture pieces! This includes a bar cabinet by LA designer Pete Shire. In the living area, a cabinet from New York designer Katie Stout. You’ll also find several Ettore Sottsass pieces, plus a Wearstler-designed striped dining room table.
A Show-Stopping Master Suite
Aside from the two-story home resembling a work of art, it’s ideal for a family who likes to entertain. Among the highlights are a professional-grade kitchen with French doors that lead to the outdoor pool and spa. When it’s time to unwind, head to the show-stopping master suite. It’s a show-stopper with luxurious marble bath, custom closets, and private balcony.
Rich In Privacy, Wrapped In Design
Where else can you own a Los Angeles retreat so rich in privacy and wrapped floor-to-ceiling in Kelly Wearstler design? Even better, the home sits just moments from the best restaurants and nightlife Los Angeles has to offer. Run, don’t walk to snag this gem before it’s too late!
