Bond Goes Thai in Pierce Brosnan’s $100 Million Malibu Mansion

Share News:

A-list actor Pierce Brosnan is no stranger to epic homes. His real estate portfolio includes luxury properties spanning the Pacific Ocean. But few compare to his $100 million mansion on the California Coast.

The Malibu ultra-luxury retreat sits on more than 1-acre of prime beachfront spanning 177-feet. It’s said that the lush tropical oasis with Thai influences was inspired by Brosnan’s filming of Tomorrow Never Dies. Now, it’s ready for a high-net-worth buyer to scoop it up and make it their own. Take a peek inside this week’s “What Can I Get” and see how the one-percenters live.

Pierce Brosnan Ready To Let Go Of $100 Million Malibu Oasis After Clever 2000 Land Grab

First, let’s talk land. Pierce Brosnan had the foresight to invest in not one, but two beachfront lots before building his Broad Beach dream home alongside wife, activist, and journalist, Keely Brosnan.

According to the Los Angeles Times, “The mammoth price tag makes it the eighth-priciest home on the market in L.A. County. If it sells for anywhere close to $100 million, it’ll mark a massive return on investment for the Irish American actor; records show he compiled the compound in 2000, buying one lot for $5.1 million and another for $2.25 million.”

Eco-Friendly Features Take The Pierce Brosnan Estate To The Next Level

Of course, it’s not just stunning to look at. It’s eco-friendly too. And sets a new standard in eco-friendly living, building, and design by using solar panels to heat the outdoor pool and guest cabana, and selling the electricity back to the local grid.

The nine-bedroom, fourteen-bathroom showplace also includes an on-site water recycling plant, a waste disposal system, solar-powered revolving compost heap, and custom energy-efficient lighting. Even the wood in the home is natural and recycled. And of course there are the low-flow toilets to complete the eco-friendly picture.

Luxurious Upgrades Abound In This Rare Malibu Retreat

But there are luxury comforts too. Among these are a master suite that spans 4,000 square feet, complete with a deck overlooking the ocean, dual fireplaces, and its own art studio. Follow Pierce Brosnan on Instagram @piercebrosnanofficial and you’ll see he likes to paint.

The retreat also affords a lower level screening room, two bars, climate-controlled 200-bottle wine storage, a music room, gym, and spa.

Per the listing, “This retreat is surrounded by wrap-around lanais and courtyards that invite yoga at dawn, relaxing afternoons, sunset cocktails, and effortless entertaining beneath the stars.”

Sounds like the epitome of Malibu living to us.

Chris Cortazzo with Compass has listed 31118 Broad Beach Road, Malibu, California for $100 million.
