Why now Viceroy Snowmass? Last December, Snowmass Base Village acquired the Viceroy Snowmass, per Trip Advisor Snowmass Village’s No. 1-rated hotel. They’re just completing $3.5 million in renovations in its public areas, including adding a new Pan-Latin restaurant from Richard Sandoval, a new coffee shop, and a new fitness center, too. In the spring, they’ll be upgrading the swimming pool and hot tubs, and reopening outdoor slope-side dining space.

Snowmass Village is celebrating  its 50th anniversary this year. The Colorado resort boasts 94 trails, the largest vertical descent of any resort in North America, and a new 5,700-foot, rider-controlled alpine coaster opening this December. Snowmass is operated by the Aspen Skiing Company. With one lift ticket, one can ski four mountains in the area: Snowmass, Aspen, Aspen Highlands, and Buttermilk.  Snowmass Village residents have ready access to the town of Aspen’s famed high-end restaurants and boutiques at a generally much more approachable price.  (Realtor Chris Klug of Aspen Snowmass Sotheby’s International Realty covers this topic extensively in the third quarter market report posted on his site.)

With that in mind, we’re taking a look at the premium private ownership option at the Residences of the Viceroy Snowmass Resort. Luxury, yes, but with unit sizes and pricing in a wide range: (more…)

Today, we’re shedding light on two new residential projects in Snowmass Base Village: the opening of sales of the residences of the Limelight Hotel, and the Lumin, new construction projects scheduled for completion in November 2018.

The two venues are illustrative of the latest in contemporary mountain vernacular design. Make the jump for a look at plans for these stunning new residences in Aspen’s neighbor, Snowmass and the exciting development plans underway:
