Real estate news continues to unfold in the Aspen Snowmass ski area of Colorado, where new Snowmass Base Village owners are reimagining the traditional cookie cutter ski resort model, and new vacation home options are catching our eye. Last month, we showcased the ski-in, ski-out Residences of the Viceroy Snowmass now available in the resort. Today, we’re shedding light on two new residential projects in Snowmass Base Village: the opening of sales of the residences of the Limelight Hotel, and the Lumin, new construction projects scheduled for completion in November 2018.

Ambassadors from the Colorado Ski Country marketing association visited Dallas this past week, bringing news of the 24 ski resorts in their consortium, which includes famed resorts such as Telluride, Crested Butte, Steamboat, Purgatory, and Aspen SnowMass. Believe it or not, ski patrollers have already hit the slopes in some areas, sampling the first snow of the season. Colorado Ski Country reps are touring major cities to spread the word of Olympic qualifying events, expansions in their member resorts, and thrilling new attractions.

Read on for a roundup of news of activities and improvements to look forward to this year. And, among the resorts affiliated with Colorado Ski Country are ten properties the association points out as hidden gems: smaller, under-the-radar venues that offer less expensive pricing and draw fewer crowds than mega-resorts.
