Update: While Troy’s house was initially listed for $27.5 million, on Monday May 23rd the price was changed in MLS to $24 million, as we have explained in subsequent stories.

We all wondered when it would happen, and today’s the day. Allie Beth Allman just inked the listing for Troy Aikman’s 10,520 square feet on Highland on 1.20 acres with a knock-out pool and cabana of at least 1300 square feet. Five bedrooms, 6 and a half baths, multiple living araes. I told you the home had been shown as a hip pocket back in February. Well, today it’s in MLS and boasts goodies such as:

Very wise time to list considering all the recent high-end sales in Highland Park. (Maybe Troy will buy the McGuire’s digs on Lakeside!) I am sure top agents in this town are polishing up their creme de la creme listings and sharpening pencils on numbers to show Troy. Say what you want to say about divorce, and we only wish the Aikman’s (and the Fearings, and the Gores, and Maria Shriver) the very best.

But divorce sure does make the real estate wheels go round and round.

Second Shelters has learned, but not confirmed, where the Garretts MIGHT be moving. Let’s put it this way: they apparently wants a home with four fireplaces. Recall you heard here first that Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett put his house on the market about two weeks ago with none other than agent to the stars Allie Beth Allman. And not to brag, but like you heard here first that Rhonda Aikman bought a home in Preston Hollow and Troy quietly put his home on the market.

Two weeks ago we all wondered where the Garrett’s could be going.

To Maplewood, it seems. The Garretts apparently have a contract on a glorious circa 1999 Euro-villa with smooth-as-a-baby’s-butt limestone exteriors, large living and entertaining areas, wide wood planked floors, 11 foot ceilings down, gourmet kitchen with two of just about everything, breakfast room, den, loggia, pool, study, four bedrooms, four and a half baths, 6900 plus square feet, study, sitting room, two bedroom, two bath apartment over the 3 car rear garage, and yes, four fireplaces. Not really pricey, either: listed for $3,795,000.

What is it about guys, football and fireplaces?

Anyhow, the kids can walk to Armstrong. No word yet on any sales over on Lindenwood, which is a great house, so stay tuned.

It is not in MLS, but I’ve heard that Troy is floating the idea of selling the family homestead on Highland Drive now that Rhonda has moved out and up to Preston Hollow. And lest you think he’s smoking something other than brisket on the patio in this market, let me tell you there have already been showings, several showings. Yes indeed. What a home and sale that would be. I wonder who the hip-pocket agent is… I’d guess Doris Jacobs, who was named ABA’s #1 Top Individual Producer. (She does it without a team!) And I wonder how much he would be asking? Let’s see, there are two lots,  a total of 1.20 acres approximately, that’s 63,034 square feet plus in Highland Park overlooking Turtle Creek? The home is over 11,000 square feet and the newly constructed cabana is over 1300. And you know the finish-out must be phenomenal.  I have the flu, it hurts my head to guess…

Update on 3/23/11: One in the know has advised me that Troy Aikman’s house on Highland Drive doesn’t overlook Turtle Creek but a branch of Turtle Creek called Hackberry Creek by the locals and Google Maps. I apologize for the error.

Over at D Mag’s Frontburner, Christine Perez says Troy was out dining with — people — and she asks, who are they? The last time I was at Eddie V’s I sat smack dab next to Miles Austin, who was oh so sweet. Seems like Troy-spotting is going to get as big as finding House Porn!
